Thank you so much for your kind comment about the book. Sorry for a delay in replying. I was in Leiden in late March giving a talk about Cherry Ingram and his legacy to over 100 people and was impressed with the Dutch people’s passion for blossoms.

So it was no surprise to me when a friend of mine handed me a heavy hardback book in English, declaring woefully that it was too much like hard work to read it . But of course not for me! I am absolutely fascinated by your account of Collingwood Ingram and his cherry blossom obsession. I would like to tell my friends in Japan about it – but it would be useful to have the original japanese title. Last month I spent time walking in the hills of Gifu and Nagano prefectures and was lucky to get good weather and see many different sakura. Some were pure pink, some were mixed.
